Before I share the strategies that I’ve used to generate over $100,000 in affiliate commissions per month at this point, there are two extremely important rules I use when promoting products that are not my own. You don’t have to use these rules in order to become an affiliate or be successful at it, but it’s what has helped me grow my affiliate income tremendously over the last couple of years:
Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising – like Google Adwords and Facebook – are getting more expensive all the time. While we invest heavily in Google Adwords ourselves here at LeadDyno, I can tell you that our click costs are constantly creeping up. Which means that next month, I know we’ll have to pay a little bit more to get the same results. Our affiliate program, on the other hand, is always profitable… because we pay our affiliates a commission based on the sales they bring us. Until they sell something, we don’t have to pay them anything. Affiliate marketing is also more scalable than pay-per-click (PPC) marketing. While there are a fixed number of relevant keywords that we (and you) can bid on and make money, there’s basically an unlimited amount of product that you can sell with affiliate partners.
Google Search Console is Google’s official tool/dashboard which communicates the health and performance of the website. Before you start using this tool you need to verify ownership of your affiliate site. Once verified you will get a set of tools using which you can better understand how Google crawls and perceives your website. Few of the important features here are

Don’t exhaust all the information about the product with your link. Offer enough information to your readers so they know what the link is, but I don’t recommend giving too much detail on your own site for a two reasons. First, product information, like price, often changes. If you mention the price on your site and someone clicks over and finds a different price, it’s confusing. Second, many times, the product details and features are better explained by the makers of the product. It’s best to stick to your own experience on your site.
WordPress is free but you’ll need a paid hosting account to get started. There is a free self-hosted version of WordPress on wordpress.com but I would avoid that version since there are serious limitations on it that will cause you headaches down the road if you go that route. As a general rule free versions of anything on the internet always come with compromises and limitations. Instead use wordpress.org which is designed for self-hosted websites and the type you’ll need to be building as a money-making affiliate.
Click Inc has its intuitive interface is great for those who aren’t quite comfortable with HTML, whereas the Trulink format is a wonderful tool for boosting SEO as it will directly link to your sales page rather than using a coded link. Direct Link Tracking. Many consumers often hesitate to click links on reviews once they recognize them as affiliate links. To resolve this, Post Affiliate Pro utilizes a direct link tracking feature that maintains the appearance of the affiliate’s page, thus discreetly masking your URL. This protects the credibility of affiliates while increasing the amount of conversions for your business.
Add this free plugin to chrome and you can breeze through your content production without the pain of digging through the dictionary for the right usage and spellings. Grammarly picks up grammar flaws which platforms like Gmail and WordPress fail to find. Grammarly is free and has a pricing plan if you want advanced features like vocabulary enhancements and plagiarism detector.
Simplified Communications. Coordinating is one of the most challenging aspects of marketing. This is even more difficult when you are working with individuals who are not employees of your company. With Ambassador, you can use tools that permits affiliates and brand ambassadors to access your promotional resources through a portal and allow partner agencies to directly enter leads into your CRM. This way, you won’t have to worry about forgetting to provide links or send payments.
Affise is a traffic tracking software built to serve advertisers and marketers who wish to kickstart or run their own networks. Accessible via Windows and Mac, this cloud-hosted solution offers a suite of automation tools for affiliate marketing operations. Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.
